Scholarship Opportunity

Monterey County residents are eligible for an unrestricted scholarship for those admitted to or enrolled in either a Library Degree, Professional Certificate Program, Masters in Education, or Teacher Credential Program.
Limited scholarships available, apply by Nov. 1st, 2026
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Monterey County resident
- Proof of enrollment
- Completion of application
- Desire to make a difference in supporting literacy and education
$500 per person
Acknowledging the essential role of librarians and teachers in building and sustaining their communities, the Pacific Grove Public Library Friends and Foundation will offer scholarship support to Monterey County residents admitted to or enrolled in Library Degree and Professional Certificate Programs and in Masters in Education and Teacher Credential Programs.
Through our dedicated support this scholarship recognizes the vital importance of preparing future educators and library professionals who will strengthen literacy, expand access to knowledge, and serve our diverse communities. By investing in local residents pursuing higher education in these fields, The Friends Scholarship supports academic achievement, professional growth, and the continued advancement of educational and library services throughout Monterey County.
